Chappell's Trucking, LLC 83-1258931 | Government Grant Application

Chappell's Trucking, LLC | Application Preview

Chappell's Trucking, LLC is seeking government grants to acquire transportation equipment, including additional semis and trailers, which will help them employ more truck drivers and office staff. The funding will also enable the construction of a maintenance shop and hiring of a certified mechanic, enhancing their operational efficiency as they aim to expand into fleet carriers over the next five years.

The business plans to operate at least five trucks for freight hauling across the U.S. and anticipates onboarding owner operators to generate extra revenue. With existing office space that supports growth, they plan to hire three dispatchers to manage their own loads and those of their owner operators.

Chappell’s Trucking believes funding approval is warranted due to their expertise in employing drivers and office personnel, which would positively impact their community and state. They recognize the ongoing demand for freight shipping, expressing confidence in their business model and its potential advantages for investors.

Although there are competitors in the area, Chappell's points out that the transportation industry remains open due to the essential nature of freight movement. They emphasize their commitment to growth, community relationships, and a competitive edge stemming from their strong organization and management practices, which have attracted owner operators to their company.

  • Business Plan

Within the next five years we plan to become fleet carriers, with at least five trucks hauling freight across the United States we anticipate to have owner operators leased on to our company providing additional revenue. We would also like to become self sufficient by building a maintenance shop and having a certified mechanic employed with us to cut costs on maintenance, repairs and services. We currently have a functioning office with room for growth therefore, we will have at least three employees dispatching our own loads as well as the loads of our owner operators. We have the knowledge and ability to employ drivers, mechanics, and office workers, which will be an economic boost to our community and state. The demand for freight shipment is high and will continue to be a need in our country. We have confidence in this business and are passionate about what we do. Our future expectations have competitive advantages and could allow for diversity in an investor's portfolio.

  • Self Identified Competition

The transportation business is not a competitive industry. Freight must be moved throughout the United States. If I must include competitors, then it would be other carriers within my area. Those carriers are profitable but have not saturated the industry. Chappell's Trucking, LLC is dedicated to growth within our business and community. We are passionate about the transportation industry and will stop at nothing to succeed. I have personally met with and researched other carriers in our area and what I have found is that they struggle with organization and management. Owner operators are willing to lease onto our company immediately due to our integrity and relationship in our community.
