K. Unlimited LLC | Application Preview
K. Unlimited LLC is applying for government grants to secure funding primarily for a year’s rent ($18,000) at a new location, along with necessary furniture such as manicure tables and pedicure chairs ($11,000). The remaining funds will cover initial utility costs.
The business plan outlines the goal of employing 4-5 skilled technicians within five years and offering nail classes. Additionally, there are plans to rent out space to independent contractors like hair stylists and massage therapists, transforming the salon into a comprehensive spa-like environment.
K. Unlimited LLC emphasizes its unique contribution to the community, positioning itself as more than just a nail salon. It aims to be a safe space for women, where they can feel secure and empowered. The owner is committed to ensuring that customers leave with more than just services rendered.
In terms of competition, the nearest nail salon is over five miles away, located outside the 45205 area. Research indicates that while one competitor has negative customer reviews, another is well-rated but caters to a different clientele. The primary competition stems from a successful salon chain where the owner previously worked, though many of her former customers have not returned since she left.
K. Unlimited LLC's competitive advantage lies in its focus on treating customers as family rather than numbers. The salon aims to create an environment of well-being and acceptance, providing clients with a unique sense of security and self-expression through its services.

Business Plan
In the next 5 years I plan on having 4-5 solid technicians working in the salon. I want to instruct nail classes inside of the business. I want to have the upstairs of the location rented out to or independent contractors in the industry such as hair stylist, massage therapist, or even lash technicians to complete the salon as full service or Spa like setting. I believe investors should invest in me because I have something to offer to the community. More than just a nail salon. We offer a safe haven for women no matter who you are or what you look like. A place where a woman can feel safe and gain the resources and confidence needed in when ever she id going through. I want my guest to leave with more than what they have paid for

Self Identified Competition
My 3 top competitors are actually at least 5 miles away from my dream location. I would be the only nail salon in the 45205 area. I researched the closest salons to me and I found that one salon (closest to me) has many negative reviews on quality as well as customer service. The other salon i researched is a little further out. It is a five star salon but you do have to cross the river to get to it. This salon does have a different clientele than K. Unlimited LLC. I looked p different services that they provide and have added a few to my pricelist as it is only products purchased to up sale existing services. The main competitor of mine would be the Salon I used to work for. This company has 11 locations in the Cincinnati area. I have work at 2 of the location to see what made the company so successful. I've gained many customers working at both locations and 90% of those people have not returned back to that salon after I left. A few things that makes me different form my competitors is that our guest/ customers are not a number but family. We don't offer just services we offer well-being, a sense of security and a place where you can just be you.
