Outside of food, our food bank will spend money to improve our facility or upgrade our warehouse equipment. We are currently looking to complete a protective fencing project around two of our outdoor freezers. This project would keep our freezers safe from tampering and allow us to safely and securely monitor our frozen storage units. Besides food, this is our primary capacity building project.

The River Valley Regional Food Bank works to eliminate hunger in west central Arkansas. We provide service to 150 partner food pantry agencies across eight Arkansas River Valley counties. The Food Bank provides service to eight counties: Crawford, Franklin, Johnson, Logan, Polk, Sebastian, Scott and Yell. We offer feeding programs to children, seniors, veterans and others in need of assistance. Our clients are 100 percent low- to no-income. We serve an estimated 100,000 people monthly. The food bank distributes nearly 15 million pounds of food each year. We hope to increase our pounds distributed by one million each year over the next five years. The food and other items we collect helps us and our partner pantries provide hot meals, food boxes, shelf-stable food and other necessities to those in need. Our service provides hope to nearly 100,000 people each month.
