Richard A Grady Transportation LLC | Application Preview
Richard A Grady Transportation LLC is seeking government grants to support its growth and development. The company has already been established, with the owner using personal savings to acquire a new truck. The primary goal is to pay off this truck within two years to enable greater independence in the transportation sector.
The business plan includes an ambitious strategy: to pay off the current truck in two years, acquire a second truck in three years, and add a third truck in five years. The owner is motivated by a desire to create a lasting legacy for his family and to contribute positively to the community. He aims to mentor emerging entrepreneurs in the transportation industry.
In terms of competition, notable rivals include JB Hunt, Schneider, and Swift, which will become relevant once he operates under his own authority. Currently, he leases through a company that provides loads, but independence will change the competitive landscape.
The owner believes his competitive advantage lies in his personal approach—he prioritizes service and community over mere profit margins. His dedication, hard work, and faith have been instrumental in reaching this point, and he is eager to continue his journey in the trucking business.

Funding Usage
I have started my business already. I saved up capital to start the business. My plan now is to pay off my new truck in 2 years so that I can venture out on my own.
-
Business Plan
I want to pay the truck off in 2 years in stead of 4 years. Purchase second truck in 3 years and third truck in 5 years. I want to be a self made man to leave a legacy behind for my family. I want to give back to my community. I would love to mentor up and coming entrepreneurs in the transportation/trucking business.

Self Identified Competition
JB Hunt, Snider and Swift would be competitors if I was on my own authority. The company I currently lease through provides my loads. But once I am on my own when I have paid off the truck I will have to compete for loads. Those big companies only care about the bottom dollar. I have an outgoing personality and my desire is to work as a servant and serve my community. I worked 6 years to come up with my down payment. I know what it takes...hard work, dedication and a whole lot of God.
