Telluride Wood Floors | Application Preview

Telluride Wood Floors is applying for government grants to address business debt and improve cash flow. The funding will primarily be used to hire additional employees and acquire new company vehicles.

The company has established a solid reputation in Telluride, Colorado, delivering high-quality work for many years. However, the business faced significant challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly when construction was halted for three months in San Miguel County. Despite the financial strain, the owner, Andy Montalvo, utilized personal savings to support the workforce during this difficult period. Additionally, the tragic incident in 2021, where Montalvo was shot by a homeowner, further impacted the company's financial health in 2022. The requested funds will be crucial in helping the business recover from these setbacks.

In an industry with notable competitors like Floored Inc, Yanon’s Hardwood Floors, and Rocky Mountain Hardwood Floors, Telluride Wood Floors differentiates itself by specializing in fixing poorly executed flooring jobs. The company emphasizes craftsmanship and meticulous work, ensuring that jobs are completed correctly the first time, often taking more time but yielding superior results. With a master craftsman leading the installation team, they bring nearly 45 years of experience to the art of sanding and refinishing wood. Their expertise has led to recognition by insurance companies, who often seek their advice on flooring issues.
