Second Breakfast LLC 1111772 | Government Grant Application

Second Breakfast LLC | Application Preview

Second Breakfast LLC is seeking a $10,000 grant to initiate its business, focusing on logo development, advertising, inventory, kitchen rent, and the purchase of a food cart for selling products. The business aims to start with a food cart and expand to a food truck within two years, with plans to participate in local fairs and festivals. Additionally, it intends to sell its products through a local coffee shop for passive income and aims to double its size within four years, eventually establishing a bed and breakfast.

The funding is justified by the commitment to support the local community and farmers by sourcing ingredients from businesses in Eugene. Second Breakfast LLC distinguishes itself from competitors, who are storefront bakeries, by specializing solely in pies, offering a unique experience reminiscent of homemade baked goods. The approach focuses on delivering both sweet and savory options, including breakfast pies, which are not available from other local competitors. This specialization combined with an emphasis on community engagement and quality food creates a compelling case for support.

  • Funding Usage

I need $10,000 to start out, for logo development, advertising, stock on resources, rent for kitchen, and investment in a food cart to sell my product out of.

  • Business Plan

I plan on starting out with a food cart, then move to a food truck within the next two years. I would like to vend at fairs and festivals. I also plan on selling my product at a local coffee shop in town for passive income. After 4 years I plan on doubling in size and buy a piece of property to turn my business into a local bed and breakfast. I am creating the possibility of creating a business that encourages community and support to local farmers and small businesses. I plan to resource my ingredients from local businesses here in Eugene. I am standing for good food at a good price made by good people.

  • Self Identified Competition

My top three competitors are bakeries; Sweet Life, Noisette and Creswell Bakery. They are all store fronts and do not attend fairs and festivals. What makes me different is I am specializing in pie and not making a bunch of different baked goods. I do pie and I do it well. I create an experience where people feel the warmth and love of when their grandmothers baked homemade pie. I am in the business of spreading love with comfort wrapped up in crust. I plan to sell at fairs and festivals; giving people that prize winning pie at their fingertips. I will be serving sweet and savory, as well as breakfast pie; one in which no one else sells.
