Lavender Spectrum Health | Application Preview
Lavender Spectrum Health is seeking government grants to enhance its operations and better serve the community. The funds will be used to hire a clinic manager, obtain a CLIA certificate, upgrade equipment, install a business sign, and promote outreach efforts.
The business has a clear plan to expand by hiring additional medical providers. As a LGBTQ woman-owned enterprise, Lavender Spectrum Health aims to address the unique challenges faced by LGBTQ women in business. The founder, a nurse practitioner with six years of experience, specializes in gender-affirming hormone therapy and possesses a distinctive set of skills.
In terms of competition, the application acknowledges two for-profit telehealth companies, Folx Health and Plume Health, both of which provide gender-affirming care nationwide, as well as Planned Parenthood, which offers similar services in Vancouver, WA.
The competitive edge lies in Lavender Spectrum Health's ability to provide in-person care, which fosters comprehensive patient interaction and information gathering. Additionally, the clinic accepts a broader range of insurance plans compared to Folx and Plume, and offers a more tailored approach to care than Planned Parenthood's standardized model for transgender health services.

Business Plan
I plan to hire additional medical providers I am a LGBTQ woman owned business. There are many barriers in business for LGBTQ women. I have been a nurse practitioner for 6 years and have a unique set of skills and experiences with specialty expertise in gender affirming hormone therapy.

Self Identified Competition
1. Folx Health - for profit telehealth company that provides gender affirming care across the country 2. Plume Health - for profit telehealth company that provides gender affirming care across the country 3. Planned Parenthood - medical clinic that provides similar services in Vancouver WA. I am different from the two telehealth companies because I provide in person care which allows me to build better information and get additional information. I also accept more insurance plans than Folx or Plume. I am different than Planned Parenthood because I offer greater customization and individualization of care than their “cookie cutter” approach to transgender health.
