Tork Converter's Custom Creations | Application Preview
Tork Converter's Custom Creations is seeking government grants to fund various startup costs essential for their trucking recruitment business. The proposed budget breaks down as follows: $12,000 for office rental, $10,000 for furnishings, $15,000 for recruiting software, $10,000 for a surety bond, $5,000 for a broker boot camp, $2,000 for a LinkedIn profile, $20,000 for advertising, $1,200 for office utilities and supplies, and $16,700 for client acquisition travel.
The business plan outlines that the substantial ad budget will generate significant leads, tapping into the lucrative trucking industry, which generates $900 billion annually. Newly recruited truck drivers can earn between $38,000 to $60,000, while load brokers can make $35,000 to $135,000 within their first year. The website truckertradingpost.com will feature advertising for semi-truck sales, driving jobs, and various trucking-related services.
The funding request highlights a pressing driver shortage and the unique approach Tork Converter's Custom Creations will take. As an experienced truck driver, the founder understands the industry's challenges and aims to create a comprehensive recruiting solution. This includes providing a load board, industry updates via blogs and podcasts, as well as sales of trucking memorabilia, apparel, accessories, and business coaching.
In terms of competition, the application notes that while recruiters exist, none integrate the diverse software solutions that Tork Converter proposes. Their competitive edge lies in offering a subscription-based load board for drivers, bypassing the traditional commission model used by load brokers. This structure is designed to benefit independent operators and smaller companies that cannot afford a full-time broker. Overall, the application argues that these funds will enable the business to effectively address industry needs and succeed in a growing market.

Business Plan
20000 ad budget will generate leads needed for growth. Trucking recruiter make between $38k to $60k in their first year while load brokers make $35k to $135k within the first year of operation. Not to mention all the direct advertising for used semi-truck sales, trucking driving jobs, and diesel mechanic jobs that will be advertised on my website that I own truckertradingpost.com The trucking industry is a $900 billion dollar yearly industry. There is a huge driver shortage and there are new drivers joining the industry daily. I have gone thos route myself and I am a current truck driver. With the driver shortage, there is a huge need for recruiting and I have a solution to help fix the issue. Not only will I directly market for companies to find drivers, diesel mechanics, and sell used company trucks, I will provide truckers a load board, latest industry current events through blogging, podcasts, or other services needed in day to day operations. This will include memorabilia sales, apparel, truck accessories, or business coaching on how to start a trucking company.

Self Identified Competition
No one out there is doing anything like this. There are recruiters, but they aren't incoperating the different types of software together to do what I am doing. Every corner of the website offers value to one or more aspects of the trucking industry. Load brokers usually take 20% off each load they provide on a load board. I will offer what the load is worth and charge the drivers a subscription fee to belong to the load board. This works out great for independent owner operators. This will also work out for smaller companies that can't afford a load broker on salary, I can offer these companies a flat fee to use the board for all their loads.
