Snake Eaters Union SEU | Application Preview
The Snake Eaters Union (SEU) is seeking government grants to finance the acquisition of facilities and equipment to enhance production capabilities and support the hiring of a new employee. The funds will cover the employee's wages for up to three months while production stabilizes.
SEU has a robust network of potential customers across the East Coast and Texas, which will be utilized to promote their products. The founder plans to leverage his experience as a Green Beret to build relationships that support marketing efforts, while also sharing his military background to foster customer trust. In the first year, the focus will be on producing a basic range of products, along with custom works that will benefit partnered Veteran Charities, thereby helping to prioritize which mass-produced items will be introduced in subsequent years. The founder intends to forgo personal income for the initial two years, reinvesting revenue into equipment and materials that enhance production efficiency and return on investment.
The rationale for funding approval emphasizes that investors are backing a community initiative aimed at aiding Veterans transitioning from military to civilian life, particularly those who have served in combat. This initiative is framed as essential for supporting these individuals quickly and sustainably, rather than merely addressing their immediate challenges. Funding SEU promises to bolster both the Veteran community and their families while establishing avenues for future growth in various programs, including active shooter response training and business consultancy.
In terms of competition, SEU faces no direct rivals among leather goods produced specifically by former Special Forces personnel. However, similar products are offered at competitive prices by companies like Savage Gentleman, Jack Foster, and Odin Leather Goods. SEU's competitive advantage lies in its strong brand identity linked to Special Operations Forces, attracting customers who appreciate the charitable impact of their purchases. This unique positioning not only promotes a feel-good factor but also differentiates SEU in the marketplace.

Business Plan
I have an extremely widespread network, spanning from the East Coast to the state of Texas of potential customers. I will leverage my experience as a Green Beret to build a series of contacts that are willing and able to help promote or market my product. Additionally, I will use the story of my Green Beret lineage to bolster confidence in customers and their desire to purchase the products we offer. For the next year, we will focus on the production and sale of a simple baseline of products, with custom works being produced to benefit our partnered Veteran Charities. Custom production will act as a springboard for the production potential of the company and will be the determining factor for which products to add to mass production offerings each year. For the initial 2 years, I plan to retain little to no personal income for this business and will use the majority of the revenue to purchase additional equipment and materials that have a guarantee to improve ROI, or improve production speed that decreases the burden on employee hours. Ultimately, the business will grow the most off of marketing and of its moral values: - Benefiting the Veteran Community - Benefiting charities supporting Gold Star Families - Functional leather goods produced by a Green Beret Investors for this effort are not investing in me. Investors are investing in a community effort to help Veterans in transition, the majority of whom are coming from a career of active conflict (GWOT) and searching for new mission and purpose as a civilian. We as a country, need to begin the transition assistance of these Veterans immediately by planning for their self-sustainment, not simply bandaging the gap of their estranged state. An investment in Snake Eaters Union is a guarantee that both actively and passively, veteran communities and their families will be supported. Additionally, this investment only begins at the current revenue generation of leather goods. Snake Eaters Union will be growing an enterprise or series of value streams and community outreach programs that will grow as fast as the opportunities are enabled including but not limited to: - Active Shooter Response Training - Facilities ownership and management for LE and Security Training - Business leadership and team-building consultancy & scenarios - Increased support of Donovan & Bank Foundation, and Veterans Outdoors (both 501c3's)

Self Identified Competition
No DIRECT competition currently exists for leather goods produced by former Special Forces Green Berets. However, the following companies produce and sell leather goods online at a comparable price: Savage Gentleman - https://savagegentleman.com/collections/leather Jack Foster - https://www.jack-foster.com/ Odin Leather Goods - https://odinleathergoods.com/ The primary and undeniable factor separating us from our competitors is our marketability. While as a "Quiet Professional" it is not my favorite characteristic of our community, the marketability of products or services by Special Operations Forces is profound. Additionally, our production will impact charitable organizations and will bring in a feel-good factor that will attract customers who are interested in their money going further than just a material purchase.
