  • Business Plan

Research shows that there is a significant need for addiction treatment centers in Idaho. Substance abuse and addiction are prevalent issues in the state, affecting individuals and communities across various demographic groups. There is a lack of resources and a lack of quality treatment centers. There are people dying because there are waiting lists to get people into treatment. I will grow by providing ongoing quality treatment to my clients. I am passionate in making a difference in the substance use and mental health field. I have been working in this field for 15 years and my husband who is joining my in this venture has been in law enforcement for 25 years. We are both passionate about making a difference and addressing the problems and addressing the whole person not the addiction. Here are some key points regarding the need for addiction treatment centers in Idaho. 1. Substance Abuse Rates: Idaho faces challenges related to substance abuse. According to the National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) conducted in 2019, an estimated 7.2% of Idaho adults reported past-year illicit drug use, while 26.1% engaged in binge alcohol use. 2. Opioid Crisis: Like many states in the U.S., Idaho has been impacted by the opioid crisis. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the state experienced a significant increase in opioid-related overdose deaths between 2013 and 2018. This crisis highlights the urgent need for effective addiction treatment and support services. 3. Limited Treatment Availability: Idaho faces challenges in terms of limited availability and accessibility of addiction treatment centers. Many individuals seeking treatment may encounter long wait times or must travel long distances to access appropriate care. This scarcity of treatment options underscores the need for more facilities across the state. 4. Co-occurring Mental Health Disorders: Co-occurring mental health disorders are often intertwined with substance abuse. Idaho has a high prevalence of mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Effective addiction treatment centers should address these co-occurring disorders through integrated treatment approaches. 5. Rural Communities: Idaho has a substantial rural population, and residents in these areas often face additional barriers to accessing addiction treatment. Limited healthcare infrastructure and transportation challenges contribute to disparities in treatment availability and quality. Expanding treatment centers to rural communities can help bridge this gap and provide much-needed support. 6. Criminal Justice System: Individuals involved with the criminal justice system often struggle with substance abuse and addiction. Establishing comprehensive addiction treatment centers can he1lp divert individuals from incarceration and provide them with the necessary support to break the cycle of addiction and reduce recidivism rates. 7. Stigma and Education: Stigma surrounding addiction remains a significant barrier to treatment. Education and awareness campaigns can help combat this stigma and encourage individuals to seek help. Addiction treatment centers can play a vital role in providing education, community outreach, and advocacy to reduce stigma and promote understanding.

  • Self Identified Competition

There are very few treatment centers in this area. My biggest competitors are Stewards of Recovery. They have many clients and a lack of follow through on quality of treatment. Brick House Recovery, they are a faith based center. Their focus and niche is faith based which leaves out a huge group of people who are using. And the third would be America Health. They also have a lack of quality treatment and organization. I am different from my competitors because I am focused on quality of care. I have a perspective of the clinician not the doctor. I will focus on a holistic approach to treatment addressing the person as a whole and continuing to provide treatment and outreach services well after termination of treatment services.
