Funding Usage
I am currently looking for a grant around 10,000 which would cover additional costs associated with start up such as equipment assets that will provide the opportunity to expand product offerings and engage in additional markets. Funding would also be able to provide a marketing budget to increase foot traffic at local markets I am participating in.

Business Plan
My business growth plan is to continue to provide products through additional Farmer's Markets throughout the year. Currently, I participate in one market, every other week with about $400 in sales a week. I am actively engaged in seeking additional opportunities to maximize product sales opportunities by participating in markets on different days and in different regions. Within 3 years, I anticipate demand to increase enough where retail space and expansion will be possible to move into a more traditional setting. Bakeries are unique community businesses, unique to their products and their regions. Investing in small businesses like Gingersnaps Bakery provides not only an investment into the business, but the community in which it operates by allowing it opportunities to return the support of its patrons by investing in the city and community where we operate. I am turning something I am passionate about into a business to share more joy with more people.

Self Identified Competition
Chain retailors such as Dunkin' and retail grocery stores where many breakfast and sweet items are typically purchased. Unlike grocery stores and other large commercial sellers, a small bakery can offer a better, fresher, more unique and customizable product. While typically, we charge slightly more than producers who can reduce cost by high-volume manufacturing, the specialized and often local touch and service Gingersnaps Bakery can provide sets us apart.
