Funding Usage
Any funding received will be used to open our first storefront location to help provide some beneficial economic opportunities in our small town. We will be able to start by hiring 2-3 employees with hope of growing to more. In addition to funding being used for opening a storefront and employees, it will be used for some larger equipment to be able to keep up with a larger space as well as paying space rent for the first 5-6 months while we get everything into a smooth flow while we grow and learn.

Business Plan
Our plan is to grow locally and help provide local jobs within our community. By helping our community they will be able to help us as we grow together. We plan on creating new products and launching seasonal products that people will enjoy. We will continue advertising as well as joining in community events once we have a physical storefront. Investing in us would be beneficial to our local small economy so that we can help rebuild what was once lost after the local paper mills left. Our community has struggled with jobs and health of it's economy but in recent years has finally started to turn around. Growing up here it is important to help expand our region and create something bigger to be part of. Years down the road we hope to have more locations and more employees, helping them provide for their families and helping our area provide something for tourists. When we can finally open a storefront we will help the community with local events whether it be town fundraisers, donations and local training seminars for those that want to learn how we make our products; as well as get togethers with the local schools to provide educational days to help the younger generations understand why it is important that we do these things for the community.

Self Identified Competition
At a local level we do not have any current competitors. We have some businesses around that do sell candles however in the local gift shops we are in, we have been informed by the owners that currently we are currently the top selling vendor at this moment in time. Once we grow, more competitors will start to show, but we offer a different vision for our product and aim for a different market. Seawicks of Maine would be our closest competitor, they have a vision about the coastal Maine lifestyle. Rather we focus on traditional yet modern New England cozy feels. Our current competitors offer your traditional homemade candles in mason jars which is a great option yet we feel we needed to stand out. Our products are all handcrafted in small batches then poured in our amber jars with our classic black lid. We offer a modern yet traditional look, something you'd expect in a store but with the handcrafted touch. We also offer room and linen sprays as well as wax melts. In the future we are hoping to get into the bath and body area of Home Goods as well.
