Funding Usage
The purchase of equipment to start producing and delivering ready-mix concrete. Supply does not keep up with demand and certain areas need concrete that are not being serviced. The equipment needed is a drum mixer truck, volumetric mixer truck and a cement silo which those funds would cover.

Business Plan
I have a business that I can service 2,000 yards a year to along with other deliveries in year one. By year two I will have the funding to put a down payment on another delivery truck. I plan on repeating this cycle to build my fleet and by year five, have a main location along with two 1 acre remote yards to expand my serviceable area. These yards would consist of a stone bin, sand bin, cement silo, and water hook up. I have been around concrete my entire life and have been managing a precast company for four years now. I know the industry in and out along with all of the local contractors of the eastern panhandle of West Virginia. I studied business and financial planning in college along with being apart of various clubs and the business fraternity holding multiple executive positions. I care about growing a sustainable business to build a legacy not only for my name but for my community.

Self Identified Competition
Thomas Bennett & Hunter, Inc. is a larger company that services warehouses, contractors, and the DOH. They have five locations in the DMV. Daniel G. Schuster, LLC is also a larger company with 8 locations around Maryland. Manor Concrete Enterprises is a small company with a couple delivery trucks most local to me. I have used these three companies as my top three competitors because they are willing to deliver closest to my target All of my competitors use a batch plant along with drum trucks for ready-mix concrete delivery. I will be using volumetric trucks which do not need a batch plant and mix in the back of the trucks on site. This method leads to zero waste of materials and fresh concrete made on the spot along with changing the strength of the concrete on the spot for what my contractors would need (i.e. a home foundation mix design is different than what is needed for a sidewalk mix design). Many companies across the U.S. use these trucks and I want to bring this technology to my are because I believe it is the future of concrete.
