Business Plan
Within the next 5 years, we would like to a well-known name in the distribution of freeze-dried candy and baked goods in South Dakota. In order to complete this, we have started reaching out to multiple businesses and distributors in all counties of South Dakota. We are currently in 8 stores, having just moved our business out of our home to a store front two month ago. We believe with the help of this grant, along with our dedication and perseverance, we can achieve our goals and bring the deliciousness of freeze-dried goodies to all parts of the Midwest. We have the drive and dedication to achieve our goals of being the #1 freeze-dried candy/home quality baked goods distributors in South Dakota. We truly believe that with the lack of competition in the product space in South Dakota and surrounding areas, and with the funding to get the extra machines we need, we have an open road ahead of us - we just need the grant to fill the gas tank.

Self Identified Competition
According to the health inspector in Codington County, we are the only freeze-dried licensed kitchen in his district. We are not aware of any other competitors (other than out of state online stores). We sell in a store in Watertown called "Grandma's House". They used to carry freeze-dried candy from an out of state company. When we started selling there, the sales from the other freeze-dried candy became non-existent. We were told by the owners that customers had stated that our product had a better look, quality, and taste than the other brand. This is one of the many benefits of being a local and smaller business - we take personal pride in each and every bag we make.
