Caring Path Home Health Services LLC Caring Path Home Health Services LLC | Government Grant Application

Caring Path Home Health Services LLC | Application Preview

Caring Path Home Health Services LLC is seeking government grants to address staffing shortages that are preventing them from serving elderly clients in various Rhode Island cities. They found that the low pay for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and homemakers is a primary factor discouraging staff from traveling to these areas. The proposed solution involves securing grant funding to increase pay, making it more competitive, and potentially providing designated transportation for staff to get to work.

The company aims to create a supportive work environment by offering training and competitive compensation, believing that happier employees will lead to better patient care. They emphasize their commitment to supporting the elderly and disabled, drawing on their personal experience in the home care sector.

Caring Path believes that the high demand for home care services in Rhode Island surpasses the existing competition. They are confident that with some financial assistance, they can implement their ideas to improve staffing challenges and enhance care for patients, ultimately allowing them to stay in their homes longer. Their competitive edge lies in their focus on employee satisfaction and retention, which they believe translates to better service for patients.

  • Funding Usage

We notice an issue, many elderly clients are no being services due to lack of staff ( CNA and homemakers ) that are willing to travel to cities like Newport, Narragansett, or westerly or Woonsocket, Cumberland etc. We asked a few groups of cna what would motivate them and found out is due to pay being “too little “ . We came up with the idea of applying or looking into a grant that could help us. while we pay x amount per hour, a grant can help pay another x amount to bring up the weekly payment to a more competitive pay to motivate them to travel. Our other idea which is a bit different would be to have designated driver to drop them off and pick them up. Of course not in the patients home since its against HIPPA but close by enough to walk there. We are open for suggestion. We just want to get those patients seem as soon as possible that way they can stay home, safe as longer as possible.

  • Business Plan

Our plan is to be able to provide programs, trainings and resources for our staff. We want to be able to offer a very competitive package in order to obtain new staff, and be able to retain them. We want to be able to service the patients with happy employees. I know it sound cliché but its the true the happier the employee the best they do their job. We we are trying to achieve is to keep patients happy with proper and promptly care. We are no different than other Home Care. We are all here to help the elderly and the disable. My sister and I opened this home care because its our dream, we have work in home care before and we know how its. Hard hard but we believe we can make a different and get patients seem with reliable CNAs and homemaker and we can keep them at home until the end.

  • Self Identified Competition

RI is such a small state and the population of disable and elderly is so high that in reality is not competition in that aspect of it. The issues comes with staff which I'm sure most industry are going through. We really believe that we can change it by implementing the ideas we mentioned. With a tiny bit of help we can make the different in RI. I'm not sure we are any different to anyone else. We'll assume we are all here for the same reason to help keep elderly and disable at home safe. However, we do believe that by implementing our ideas we'll be able to make a bit of a different to many patients around RI. to Us thats all it matter being able to provide competitive wages to our employees and be able to see the patients stay home longer. there is nothing like home.
