Funding Usage
Our current pedicure chairs and bowls are outdated and started to slow down on operating correctly. In order to offer the best services, I would like to upgrade them to an updated modern look. I also am going to be carrying a hair color line that no one in the area has that is highly sustainable for the environment and a luxurious color that would offer a leveled up experience for our guests. Upgrading some equipment and adding small furniture pieces and a new storefront sign would elevate the appearance and attract new clientele. The business would benefit greatly from this grant and be able to offer the highest quality services to delmarva.

Business Plan
Although Urban Sage is a newer business, we have plans in the works to grow as a salon and team. In 5 years, the current lease will be up to renew. With that being said, I, Felicity as the owner, plan to start building a brand new building for my salon and spa. With the newest upgrades, a larger space to have more providers working in, and more services to offer. With that being said, the team will be growing larger as the years pass and I intend to create a successful space for us to thrive in. In the Delmarva area, I find that it is difficult to find beauty and wellness services all in one location. At Urban Sage, I would like to be able to offer all of one's beauty needs in one business. This creates a strong relationship between our service providers and our guests. It allows us to expand our education further and have more to offer as a team.

Self Identified Competition
Currently, our location is on Naylor Mill rd. in Salisbury. This is directly down the street from Designers Edge, one of the most popular salons in the area. They are our biggest competitor since they do have so many services and providers to offer. Although Designer's Edge is a fantastic business, Urban Sage is a comfortable and more personal environment. We strive to build relationships with our guests and other local businesses around us. I like to donate gift baskets, gift certificates, etc. to different events to support other locals.
