  • Funding Usage

My dream is to expand my business, beyond my home, with a purchasing or building a venue that I would be able to rent out and also be able to work from. My city, Hope, AR, is a small town in a rural area, and it is in great need of a venue where local residents can host their special occasions. I also have hopes of purchasing a mobile vehicle for a Mobile Bakery. A Mobile Bakery would be in the lines of a food truck, but for my pastries that I offer.

  • Business Plan

Strixly Cupcakes will be at their 5 year mark on October 1, 2023! In 5 years, I have big plans of retiring from teaching at age 50, which is 3 more years from now, and operating my business full time. I will have a venue that I can rent out to local residents for them to host their special occasions. I will also have a space in the rear of the building that I will be able to work from and create all of my special treats. I plan to hire at least 3 employees that will enhance the business and help it to grow. I want each employee to be from a different race than I am so as to be able to reach and connect with everyone. There are multiple reasons as to why your investors should invest in me. I am a success driven black entrepreneur. I seek God first in all of my endeavors and follow His lead because I know that without that guidance, I will not prosper. I know what it means to hit rock bottom, but I also know how to fight to get back up. My cupcake business, Strixly Cupcakes LLC, started out with just cupcakes on October 1, 2018 after my long, 16 year journey of being a cake baker/decorator. Cakes were not my passion any longer and while working on, what ended up being my last cake order, God spoke to me and said, "Strictly Cupcakes." I was baffled at first, but He quickly laid it out his plan, and 3 weeks later I launched Strixly Cupcakes. In my logo, I made the "t" a cross and spelled it with an "x" so I could put a cake behind it showing that I no longer do cakes; I'm Strixly Cupcakes! It's almost my 5 year anniversary, and I must say that Strixly Cupcakes has grown tremendously. I am now, way more than just a cupcake baker; I create all sorts of party treats, fruit designs and more! My business has grown way past the room that I transitioned, in my home, to a bakery. God keeps showing me talents that I didn't even know I had, and I keep amazing myself at how much I have grown within my work. My dream is to expand my business with a venue that I can work from. My city, Hope, AR, is a small town in a rural area, and It is in great need of a venue where local residents can host their special occasions. See Strixly Cupcakes, is more than just its name. It's a God given business where every order is made with "A Cup of FaiTh and filled with Gratitude and Grace". Investing in my business would allow me to bring some great things to my city and also help me build to create Generational Wealth for my 3 daughters.

  • Self Identified Competition

My first top competitor is myself. I compete with me. I strive to make every order better than the last. I feel like everyone has their specialty areas, but never do I see it as competition for me. What God gave me certainly stands apart from others. I'm not saying that I'm better than them, nor am I saying that they are better than me, all I'm saying is that I compete with no one other than myself. There are two bakeries in town: The Pickett Fence and Two Crumbs. They both have multiple streams of incomes, meaning they do more than just bake. The Pickett Fence is a floral shop and more. Two Crumbs not only bake cupcakes, but other sweets such as pies and they also do meals. What makes me different from other businesses that offer some of the things/treats that I offer is that I am unique in what I do. I strive to create things that are not seen in this area. I work hard to set myself apart from others, and needless to say, my work speaks for itself. I can't speak for the other bakeries, nor against them because I feel that God has instilled talent in each and every one of his people. What he gave me, he may not have given to the next person. Again, I don't like to see others as my competitors, I just see us as having a common ground, and that is serving others.
