  • Funding Usage

Every single dollar of our funding will be spent carefully. Our primary need for the funding is to hire 2 full-time employees: one working in sales and the other in marketing. Right now, we have very limited time to reach out to new job posters and students to let them know about the app. The app is currently used in 4 states. Without a larger team, we are unable to expand rapidly while maintaining the customer service and focus on our current clients that is needed. The funding will also be used in our marketing efforts to let students around the country know that the resource is available to them.

  • Business Plan

We just launched our new payment processor, which will enable us to scale our product and allow individuals to post jobs in additional to businesses. This will exponentially increase the job opportunities offered to college students. Regarding the Posted! University app, over the next 5 years, we will focus on increasing the number of job posters and expand our services to be available to students around the country. Currently, our app is available at the University of Georgia, University of Nebraska-Omaha, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Montana State University, and the University of Kansas. Our goal is to expand to universities in all 50 states and increase the number of businesses and individuals posting jobs on the app. To do so, we will be hiring and growing the team. Our team will be launching the Posted! Sports app in early October 2023. This app utilizes similar software as Posted! University, but enables anyone to work gig job in their city (not just students). While Posted! University connects students with gig jobs near campus, the Posted! Sports app connects people with gig jobs in the professional sports stadiums around their city. Over the next 5 years, we intend to launch this app in partnership with event staffing agencies in cities around the country. Investors should invest in Posted Software because of our mission and our traction, which proves that there is a need for our product. Our mission is to provide students with ways to finance their time in college without missing classes and sacrificing academics to do so. In 2020, The Hope Center conducted a study by reaching out to college students attending 4-year institutions. 43% of college students who responded to their study reported going through some type of housing insecurity. 14% of those students reported being homeless. The 2019-20 National Postsecondary Student Aid Study found that 23% of undergraduate college students are experiencing food insecurity. Posted Software's platform connects students with gig jobs on campus/near campus that fit their class schedule. Our payment processor enables them to get paid straight to their bank account within 4 days. This enables students who are struggling to pay rent or dealing with food insecurity to quickly get the funds they need to have a home and food while studying in college. Our platform has significant traction, showing that there is a demand, from both job posters and workers, for our platform. As of 9/26/23, roughly 2,500 users are signed up for the app. Our app has led to over 1,700 job placements and an estimated $110,000+ in students earnings. The app is/has been used at Montana State University, University of Georgia, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, University of Nebraska-Omaha, Auburn University, and the University of Kansas. This was done without outside investment. With financial support and a full-time team, we can expand our services to students and business around the country.

  • Self Identified Competition

Our top three competitors are DoorDash (and other food delivery apps), Qwick, and TaskRabbit. DoorDash is mostly available to users who have a car. Many students in need of our services do not have a car. By connecting students with on-campus gig jobs, our platform is serving students that DoorDash can not. Qwick only offers job posters to post jobs within the service industry (ex. Bartenders, food servers, catering, etc.). Our platform enables a wider range of job postings and enables students with no food/beverage service experience to find jobs. Additionally, Qwick is only available in major metropolitan areas. Similar to Qwick, TaskRabbit is only available in major metro areas. This leaves college students in many college towns without access to the platform. In addition, Task Rabbit is geared towards people with skilled labor experience (Plumbing, electrical work, etc.) while Posted! enables students to connect with jobs that require no prior experience (snow shoveling, stadium cleanup, etc.). We explained what makes us different in the question above! However, we've conducted extensive market research and are always happy to explain in more depth!
