I am writing to seek financial support for the exceptional work being carried out by Gameday for Heroes. Our organization is dedicated to providing active duty, wounded veterans, retired military, and their families with premier college gameday experiences across the nation, aiming to alleviate the stress symptoms associated with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI), anxiety, and other disorders commonly experienced by those who have served in the Armed Forces. Additionally, we offer cost-free referral assistance, including career coaching and job placement referrals, to aid in their transition into civilian life. Mission Statement: To provide active duty, wounded veterans, retired military, and their families with premier college gameday experiences for all sporting events at colleges and universities across the nation in an effort to reduce stress symptoms associated with PTSD, TBI, Anxiety, and other disorders commonly associated with service in the Armed Forces. Additionally, we provide them with cost-free referral assistance with career coaching and job placement referrals as they transition into the civilian world. Gameday for Heroes recognizes the profound impact of stress-related disorders on our nation's heroes and their loved ones. We firmly believe that fostering camaraderie and providing memorable experiences can significantly contribute to their well-being. Our unique approach centers on three pillars: Food, Fellowship, and Fun. Food: We create a supportive environment where heroes and their families can enjoy delicious meals and refreshments. Sharing a meal is an opportunity to bond and find solace among peers who understand their experiences. Fellowship: Our tailgate events offer a space for heroes to connect, share stories, and forge lasting bonds with others who have served. This sense of belonging is invaluable in the healing process. Fun: Attending college sporting events together allows our heroes to relax, enjoy the excitement of the game, and create positive memories with their families. These moments of joy are essential for their overall well-being. Your organization's commitment to supporting initiatives that improve the lives of veterans and their families aligns perfectly with our mission. We are seeking a grant in the amount of $10,000 to further our efforts and expand our reach to benefit even more heroes. The funds from this grant will be used for the following purposes: Tailgate Events: Covering the cost of tailgate gatherings, including catering, equipment, and venue expenses. Game Tickets: Purchasing tickets to college sporting events for heroes and their families. Career Transition Services: Supporting our referral assistance program, which includes career coaching and job placement services for veterans. Outreach and Awareness: Enhancing our outreach efforts to reach more veterans in need of our services and raise awareness about our mission. We are committed to maintaining complete transparency and accountability in the use of these funds. A detailed report will be provided to any grantor upon completion of the fiscal year, outlining how the grant has positively impacted the lives of our heroes. We sincerely hope that you will join us in supporting those who have sacrificed so much for our nation. Your generous grant will make a significant difference in the lives of veterans and their families, helping them find healing and hope. Thank you for considering our proposal. We would be delighted to provide further information or arrange a meeting to discuss our organization's work in greater detail. Together, we can make a lasting and positive impact on the lives of our heroes.

  • Business Plan

Gameday for Heroes 5-Year Growth Plan (2023-2028) Introduction: Gameday for Heroes (GDFH) is committed to enhancing the lives of active duty, wounded veterans, retired military, and their families by providing premier college gameday experiences and support services. Over the next five years, we aim to expand our impact across the nation while ensuring the sustainability of our organization. This growth plan outlines our strategies for achieving this mission through four key lines of effort: 1. Grow Corporate Sponsorships: Goal: Establish strong partnerships with corporate sponsors to secure financial support and resources. Strategies: Identify potential corporate sponsors with a demonstrated commitment to veterans and military causes. Develop tailored sponsorship packages highlighting the benefits of partnering with GDFH. Strengthen our online and offline presence to attract corporate sponsors through marketing and social media campaigns. Create opportunities for corporate sponsors to engage directly with our heroes and showcase their support at our events. Regularly assess the effectiveness of sponsorship agreements and make necessary adjustments. 2. Grow Local Sponsors: Goal: Expand the network of local sponsors to sustain and enhance our tailgate activities. Strategies: Establish relationships with local businesses, restaurants, and vendors near event locations. Develop sponsorship packages tailored to the needs and interests of local sponsors. Leverage the testimonials and success stories of our heroes to showcase the positive impact of local sponsorship. Collaborate with local media outlets to raise awareness of our local sponsorship opportunities. Continuously evaluate the satisfaction of local sponsors and improve the value of their partnership. 3. Expand Mental Health and Career Counseling Services: Goal: Increase the availability and quality of mental health and career counseling services for our heroes and transitioning veterans. Strategies: Collaborate with national mental health organizations and universities to recruit a diverse pool of mental health providers and career counselors. Develop a comprehensive training program to ensure providers are equipped to address the unique needs of veterans. Implement telehealth options to increase accessibility to mental health services for heroes in remote areas. Establish partnerships with career development organizations and employers to expand job placement opportunities. Continuously assess the effectiveness of counseling services and gather feedback from beneficiaries. 4. Onboard Regional Program Volunteers: Goal: Expand GDFH's reach by recruiting and training Regional Program Volunteers to assist with events outside the southeastern region. Strategies: Develop a structured volunteer recruitment and training program to ensure consistency in event execution. Identify dedicated individuals with a passion for our mission and the ability to represent GDFH effectively. Establish regional leadership positions to coordinate volunteer efforts in different areas of the country. Provide ongoing support, resources, and communication channels for Regional Program Volunteers. Measure the impact of volunteer assistance on event success and hero satisfaction. Implementation Timeline: Year 1: Focus on strengthening corporate and local sponsor relationships. Year 2: Begin expanding mental health and career counseling services. Year 3: Initiate the recruitment and training of Regional Program Volunteers. Year 4: Continue to refine and expand all lines of effort. Year 5: Evaluate the effectiveness of the growth plan and adjust strategies as needed. Measurement and Evaluation: Regularly monitor and report progress on each line of effort. Assess the impact of sponsorships through increased funding and resources. Measure the satisfaction and outcomes of mental health and career counseling services. Evaluate the success of volunteer-led events in new regions. Continuously gather feedback from heroes and sponsors to improve our offerings. By executing this 5-year growth plan, Gameday for Heroes aims to expand its reach, enhance its support services, and continue making a positive impact on the lives of our nation's heroes and transitioning veterans. Together with our supporters and partners, we will continue to provide premier college gameday experiences and support to those who have served our country. How are we different than other veterans’ ticket sites? We focus on the Gameday experience as a whole and not just the event. Everyone knows that college athletics are just as much about the gameday experience as they are the event itself. What would an Auburn game be without a Tiger Walk? Or a Clemson game without seeing Howard’s Rock? How could you possibly get the full experience of a gameday at Ole Miss without visiting The Grove? Our aim is to partner with local sponsors at each location to ensure that our heroes get the opportunity to enjoy the entire gameday experience, regardless of where they are or who they root for. Additionally, our lines of effort allow us to help treat and overcome PTSD and TBI symptoms such as fear of loud noises, crowd avoidance and being generally uneasy or on guard.

  • Self Identified Competition

VetTix is our only peer competitor that we are aware of. How are we different than other veterans’ ticket sites? We focus on the Gameday experience as a whole and not just the event.
