Roberts Industrial & Commercial Services, Inc. | Application Preview
Roberts Industrial & Commercial Services, Inc. is applying for government grants with the intent of enhancing their business capabilities, expanding their customer base, and improving their infrastructure. The funding will be used to hire skilled employees for sales and project oversight, upgrade their facility to accommodate more projects, and purchase additional machinery and equipment to better serve both existing and new clients.
The business plans to reach a larger audience in the local area and offer a broader range of services. Key initiatives include hiring higher-level employees to manage increased workload, obtaining an "R stamp" certification for boiler work, and expanding their physical space for fabrication purposes.
As a veteran and family-owned business established in 2015, Roberts Industrial has persevered through numerous challenges, building strong relationships within the community. Their commitment to customer service is evident in their 24/7 availability and employee loyalty, with many staff members having been with the company since its inception.
The company faces competition from unlicensed contractors who offer lower prices due to lack of overhead, local businesses that mimic their successful strategies, and larger firms with strong industry connections. However, Roberts Industrial distinguishes itself through a rigorous commitment to employee welfare and adherence to safety standards. Their motto, "Done Right, Done Safe," reflects their dedication to quality and reliability, ensuring they are available to address urgent needs at any hour.

Business Plan
We plan to expand our customer base to more customers in our surrounding area and offer more services than we currently offer. We plan to hire on more high level employees so that we can sustain more mork simoultaneously. We plan on achieving our R stamp so that we can do boiler work and expanding our buildings so that we have more capabilities in house for fabrication purposes. We our a veteran owned, family owned business that started with nothing in 2015. We have worked hard to dig our business in to this market and build amazing relationships with our customers. We have faced extreme adversity on this path and overcome all obstacles. The lengths we could go to with funding are astronomical if we can achieve this much fighting for every dollar. We are disciplined and dedicated to what we do and we do what everyone else is unable to accomplish. We are on call 24/7, 365 days a year to ensure our customers are taken care of and we take care of our employees so that they want to stay with our business their entire career. Most of our best employees have been with us since we started or close to it. We are a business full of decades of knowledge in many trade skills and because of that our business has much to offer our local communities.

Self Identified Competition
Our top 3 competitors include: 1) Any fly by night contractor that has no certifications, does not pay taxes, and does not hire on or take care of their employees. These contractors are able to bid work cheaply because of their lack of overhead and we always beat them in the end but they can cause issues when a plant supervisor is looking to keep profit margins maxed for his performance evaluation. 2) Star Fabrication is a local millwright and fabrication business that started out as a mechanic shop and pretty much follows in our footsteps wherever we are successful to coat tail on that success. 3) Larger companies such as Multi-Craft Contractors and Action Mechanical that have the years in business and relationships to make it hard for us to acquire new customers. Our business is different because we do everything in our power to be a business that takes care of its employees and does the jobs according to how they are supposed to be done based on the plants rules and the safety professionals reccomendations. Our motto is "Done Right, Done Safe" and we work hard to live by that motto. We take care of our customers and do the work that no one else can do or wants to do. We are there at 2 in the morning when a motor goes down and halts production and we are there when all vehicles are off the road because of snow carrying around weed burners to unfreeze the pipes to get production back online.
