Lagree Luxe | Application Preview
Lagree Luxe is applying for government grants to cover expenses during a 30-day gym shutdown. The funding would be used for rent, NNN, equipment leasing, and licensing fees for Lagree Fitness. Despite opening just 1.5 years ago, the studio has significant growth potential, supported by a marketing partnership with Reach Local and a dedicated social media marketer aimed at attracting new clients. The long-term plan includes opening a second studio to further increase visibility.
The owner transitioned from architecture to pursue this fitness venture, driven by a desire for flexibility to care for two young children. Overcoming the challenges posed by the pandemic and zero income during shutdowns, the owner has invested considerable effort into building the studio. The business has received positive feedback, boasting 50 five-star Google reviews, signifying customer satisfaction and community impact.
However, competition is strong in the area, with established rivals like Fierce 45, Transform Colorado, and Pilates Evolution, all of which offer similar Lagree classes and have been in business for several years. With limited revenue and the risks associated with the current situation, the owner emphasizes that grant funding is essential for survival and to continue providing a valuable fitness community for clients.

Business Plan
We just opened 1.5 years ago, so we have a lot of room for growth! We are using a marketing company called Reach Local that provided different strategies each month to help us grow and get new clients. Once we get our feet on the ground, we would like to open a second studio to help spread the word even more. We have a social media marketer that helps get new clients in as well! I started the idea of this Lagree studio 2.5 years ago. I left my job in architecture to open a pilates studio and have a flexible schedule to help support my two little boys (ages 2 and 3.5 years old). I realized there was a large risk with opening my own business. I poured my heart into the studio for a solid year before we even opened the doors. With the struggle of having to shut my doors and make zero income, the risk of loosing my business is real. My expenses have already been difficult to reach without making much income over the last 2 years. Any extra help would be greatly appreciated and help others who love working out have an amazing place and community to do it. We have 50 all 5 star reviews on google of happy clients that love the studio and the workout. I have felt very rewarded changing peoples lives for the better.

Self Identified Competition
Fierce 45 has eight studios around the city and specialize in the same Lagree high intensity Pilates we do. Transform Colorado is downtown and only 10 minutes from our Golden Triangle location. They have a similar Lagree machine and teach the same method as us. Pilates Evolution has three studios (Cherry Creek, Stapleton,& Southglenn) offer the same specialized Lagree fitness we do. They have been around 9 years, so they have a very establish cliental and are a main competitor to us. All three of our competitors have been around for 4+ years. Their classes are always booked and they are all very established with multiple studios. I am still starting up and trying to ramp up business. Without a safety net and barley starting to make any income, this shutdown could completely destroy my studio and all the hard work I have put into it to get it open.
