Jess’s Cleaning LLC | Application Preview
Jess’s Cleaning LLC is applying for government grants to enhance their operations and support business growth. The requested funding will be invested in multiple areas, including advanced training courses for cleaners, a reliable company vehicle, backup vacuum equipment, storage space, Wi-Fi, and office facilities.
The business aims to expand its service area and hire additional cleaners to accommodate the increasing demand, as Jess has been turning away clients due to limited resources. After five years as a solo cleaner while balancing a full-time job, Jess transitioned full-time into cleaning, managing to gain 20-28 recurring clients monthly and averaging $8,000 in revenue. Currently, Jess employs one 1099 employee but faces challenges with overhead expenses that hinder hiring and office management.
In Garvin County, Oklahoma, Jess’s Cleaning LLC competes primarily with informal cash-based cleaners and a few larger companies like Merry Maids. The competitive edge lies in personalized training for each employee, utilizing high-quality cleaning supplies, and providing a structured checklist for consistent service quality. This commitment to training and thoroughness differentiates Jess’s Cleaning LLC from lower-priced alternatives and enhances customer satisfaction. The grant funding would enable the business to grow sustainably while maintaining exceptional service standards.

Business Plan
I plan to expand our service area along with hiring more cleaners to be able to keep up with the amount of work I’ve had to decline because of expenses. I started this business from the ground up and was a solo cleaner off and on for 5 years in my down time from my full time job. At the beginning of 2023 I finally quit working for a big company who didn’t even know my name just my associate number, now I have a cleaning business with 20-28 reoccurring clients monthly. I have 1 1099 employee at the moment and with us both still cleaning the business averages $8,000 a month. After payrolls, credit cards, space rentals, wifi, gas, supplies, ect it just seems as though I don’t have the resources to hire and train while running the office scene as well.

Self Identified Competition
I service Garvin County Oklahoma and the only competition I have is the ladies who clean for cash and I can’t lower my prices enough to match. If I had to go with legitimate companies I would say Merry Maids, and 2 Green Chicks anyone else around isn’t registered or licensed. We train each of our cleaners one on one with a head cleaner or myself the owner to ensure that all cleaners are understanding of what to use. (I’ve had 3 total since I started at the beginning of the year, their personal schedules conflicted with business hours.) We supply all of the cleaning supplies we would need along with shark professional vacuums, split mops that keep clean and dirty water separate and is fully able to pull apart for cleaning unlike O Cedar which most use. We offer carpet and rug cleaning along side our house cleaning. We have each and every cleaner leave a signed and dated checklist after each cleaning whether it is a standard cleaning or a deep cleaning so that you know you’re getting the same great quality every single time.
