Mitchell Blake 528-19-4376 | Government Grant Application

Mitchell Blake | Application Preview

Mitchell Blake is applying for government grants to fund a project aimed at addressing the housing affordability crisis for low-income families. The funding required over three years includes $365,000 in the first year and $290,000 in each of the following two years.

The business plan focuses on developing subdivisions of green homes once designs are validated by local building authorities. The homes will be built on affordable land using simple construction methods and sustainable materials, ensuring a minimal carbon footprint.

The motivation behind the funding request is to empower lower-income families to achieve home ownership by enabling them to invest their time and money into building their own energy-efficient homes, which will be self-sufficient on plots ranging from 1/2 to 3/4 acres.

Mitchell Blake highlights that there are no known competitors in this space, giving his project a unique position. The competitive advantage lies in offering homes at a lower profit margin, around 10%, which will help more families become homeowners. The emphasis will be on using recycled and repurposed materials for furnishing to further promote sustainability.
